I spent several months in Vienna way back, when I was in college, and I ate it almost every day, I just could not resist is. They are tasting great, especially if you like marzipan like I do. If you ever in your life visit Vienna, Mozartkugel are definitely must! Mozartkugel are truffles with a pistachio marzipan layer, a hazelnut marzipan layer, almond nougat, and two chocolate shells. The truffles are fairly substantial in size with a crunchy outer layer and a very grainy, gummy inside. They also taste incredibly boozy. The flavor is predominantly pistachio and amaretto with a lingering smokiness from the chocolate, and they're not very sweet at all. The center is quite moist and chewy and one truffle makes for a filling snack. Mozartkugel are part of Austrian tradition and you are more than welcome to join millions who already tasted this delicious peace of heaven in a such a small chocolate ball. You simply cannot leave Austria without buying those! They are Austrian most famous edible souvenir: in different packaging and all shapes and sizes. It is a good gift for friends and family back home! Just tell them to be very careful: it's easy to overeat since they're too delicious!

My father was working on the movie The Lady Vanishes and brought home some of the Mozartkugeln as a gift for me, I was about 12 years old. I had never tasted a sweet like it and our family nickname was Mozart Eyeballs! I always try and get a box for Christmas but it is very difficult to find them in the UK, as they do stir memories of childhood. I saught them out when I was lucky enough to visit Vienna many years later.

I discovered Mozart Kugeln in college, and sense then I've tried to get my hands on some every year. Truly some of the best candy I've had, and Mozart on the front is the icing on the cake

I am from DK. last year I went to a congress in Vienna, and I bought a few boxes of the mozartkugln for my collegues at the office, since they have been very helpful during my work. Ever since when I ask for a favour of them they tell me it cost, and that it minimum cost mozar tkugeln. As I wrote I live in DK, and I have been searching everywhere for the mozart kugeln but have not been able to find them. Not even an internet shop, so I was very happy to see that I can order them from Austria. Then i am also sure it is the right original mozart kugeln. I am travelling a lot and I am always looking for the mozart kugeln in the different airports. But I have meet similar chocolade, but not the orginal ones with truffles, pistachio marzipan layer, haxelnut marxipan layer, almond nougat, they are all so very nice. Now that I finally found a place where I can order the mozart kugeln I will order serveral boxes, but for my collegues so I can ask for favours in the future, but also for my family. They will be so nice to enjoy during christmas

I tried MozartKugeln many years ago when I was a young boy in India. My relatives from the United Kingdom and Austria would bring these back for us every Christmas and needless to say, that was one of the things worth looking forward to every year. Imagine my surprise, when as a boy of 10, I went to the airport with my parents to pick up my relatives and they rewarded me with these delicious marzipan filled delicacies - I had never tasted anything as fulfilling up until that point in my life - and from then on, it was a must have for me every Christmas/New Year season. I currently live in the greater Washington, DC region and have not had the opportunity to obtain these locally.

my mum has always loved these but they are rather hard to find in the uk so they're a rare and infrequent treat. one box can be made to last a long time! i keep my eyes open for them and am always pleased when somewhere does have them, although it's rather sparodic. wish i lived in london where i know there are a few shops stocking german and austrian food items. i always bring some mozart kugeln, along with a few other austrian food bits, back with me when i go on holiday to austria, but unfortunately that is not very often anymore. so i am hoping this website might make getting these lovely chocolates a little easier now! austria is rather far to go for chocolate!! i am ordering them today for my mum for mothers' day and am pleased to find they are on offer too, which is certainly welcome. i am sure she will be pleased with them, it's been a while since she had any, in fact i had completely forgotten about them so hopefully they will be a nice surprise! she loves anything with marzipan but there is something special about mozart kugeln, especially the ones from mirabella. dark chocolate and marzipan, what not to like?

When I was five years old, my parents gave me a 'mozart introduction'-cd with the greatest hits like 'la ci darem il mano' and the first movement of the clarinet concerto. Since then, for a few years, I collected everything that had to do with Mozart, from Austrian coins to cd's and, indeed, Mozartkugeln. After not eating them for a very long time, I recently rediscovered these delicious bonbons. Now, together with an other friend, who is a musician as well, we decided to do an scientific test of Mozartkugeln. It might have something to do with the fact that we just returned from a concert and an evening in the cafe afterwards, but it is quite a lot of fun. After analyzing the Viktor Schmidt Austria Original Mozart Kugeln, keeping an eye on Mozarts clothes in the picture on the foil, the amount of kugeln you can eat without getting sick, the taste and some other very important points, we now decided to let the famous Mirabell rip-offs of Schütz's original bonbon be the next ones to be tested. This is the first time that we order something on this website, and we hope that it's service is as good as the site suggests. We will really enjoy 'testing' these kugeln, and keep you update about the results!
